WINE TASTING'S SALES TO AID CHARITIES
The Frankie Lemmon Foundation and the North Raleigh Rotary Club will hold the annual Triangle Uncorked wine tasting from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 27 at Koka Booth Amphitheatre at Regency Park in Cary. All wines sampled will be available through local retail shops at a 10 percent discount, with 5 percent going to charities.
>The event will include vendors of artwork, jewelry and wine-associated memorabilia and musical entertainment. Guests may bring a picnic lunch and lawn chairs.
General admission will be $35 a person, and VIP admission will be $85. Tickets can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com.
EVENTS TO BENEFIT CANCER FUND
The Brandy Miller Cancer Fund will hold two fundraisers this month. A barbecue fundraiser will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Raleigh Elks Lodge, Leadmine and Millbrook roads in Raleigh. On Aug. 16, the fund will hold a car show at Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The show will feature cars, trucks, motorcycles and tractors with more than 25 specialty trophies, vendors, race car displays and concessions.
