RALEIGH -- Police have seized a laptop computer used by the husband of a pregnant Wake County woman found beaten to death last month.

The Wake County Sheriff's Office is scouring a laptop computer found in Jason Young's Ford Explorer for financial records, correspondence with insurance companies and other things that may help them find the person who killed his wife, Michelle, according to a search warrant filed Friday.

Michelle Young, 29, was found dead Nov. 3. Her daughter was alive in the house and left bloody footprints around her mother's body.

Jason Young was out of town at the time. Investigators have shown an interest in him, according to court records, and confiscated his travel records, two cell phones found in his SUV, another computer hard drive and various financial documents. They also have said Young was having some sort of relationship with a Florida woman in the months before his wife's death.

In recent weeks, Young has responded, in part, by declining to set aside time to talk with police, according to the Wake County Sheriff's Office.
