CARY -- As part of the Tryon Road widening project, crews will temporarily close the left turn lanes on Cary Parkway that access Tryon Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

Police will direct traffic during the closings, and motorists needing to turn left will be able to do so from the left through-traffic lane.

The closing will allow crews to pave the new turn lane. Heavy delays are expected during the closing, and drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes.
