He's your fireman. Fire-fa-fireman. Come to audition, and his crew will check you out.

New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne, whose hits include last year's "Fireman," is looking for singers, rappers, producers, comedians, dancers, announcers and models to appear in his Web reality series "Making the Next Hit." And he's bringing his search to Raleigh.

Auditions begin 9 a.m. Saturday at Crabtree Marriott, 4500 Marriott Drive.

Music acts can audition to start competing for the ultimate grand prize: performing at the Labor Day "Sports & Hip-Hop Celebrity Anniversary" at Miami Beach. Final winners will also record a music video and embark on a national promotional tour.

The Internet-only show will be aired on www.thenext.tv. It's being hosted by Chief Rocker Busy Bee, a pioneer comedic hip-hop host.

If you're interested in getting to the front of the line, send your name, talent category, phone number and address in an e-mail message to auditions@thenext.tv by Wednesday. For more information call (678) 613-7739.
