* Toyota Motor is recalling 367,500 Toyota and Lexus sport utility vehicles in the U.S. because a piece in the front console area could come loose and interfere with the gas pedal.

The recall involves 2004-05 models of the Toyota Highlander and Lexus RX 330 and early 2006 models of the Highlander hybrid SUV and the RX 400h, above, the hybrid version of the RX 330, said Toyota spokesman Bill Kwong.

A clip could come loose and allow a small trim piece of the console, located on the center-left side of the front compartment, to interfere with the accelerator.

The company has received seven complaints and two reports of accidents, Kwong said. No injuries have been reported, he said.

Owners were expected to be notified of the recall in late July, and dealers will install new clips on the console.

* Nissan North America said it would recall nearly 201,000 Altima and Sentra sedans from the 2003 model year to fix a faulty sensor that can cause the engine to shut down.

The automaker said changes in temperature can interrupt the signal from a sensor in the engine compartment, leading to an engine stall in low speeds and in stop-and-go traffic.

The automaker said the recall involved 186,279 Altimas and 14,587 Sentras. Nissan spokeswoman Jeannine Ginivan said there has been one crash reported but no injuries linked to the defect.

Owners were expected to be notified starting Aug. 21. Dealers will reprogram the vehicles' computer systems at no cost. Owners may contact the company at (800) 647-7261.

Last month, Nissan recalled nearly 100,000 Altima and Sentra sedans from the 2006 model year because of excessive oil consumption and reports of two dozen engine fires. The concerns led the automaker to temporarily stop selling the vehicles.

Other recalls also were announced:

* About 174,000 lawn tractors, manufactured by Husqvarna Outdoor Products, formerly known as Electrolux Outdoor Products, because the fuel line can detach from the fuel tank outlet and pose a fire hazard. The company has received 866 reports of separated fuel lines, 16 reports of fires and three reports of minor injuries. The tractors were sold under the brand names Husqvarna, Craftsman, Poulan Pro, Poulan, Weed Eater, Southern States and Murray. They were sold at home centers, retailers, hardware stores and hardware dealers around the country between September 2005 and June 2006. The product, model and serial numbers of these tractors are located on labels under the seats.

* About 762,000 Mainstays Associate office chairs, imported and sold by Wal-Mart, because they can tip over easily and the legs and back can break, causing falls. The company has received seven reports of injuries, including a broken wrist. The chairs have wheels and a cushioned fabric seat and back. A label under the seat has UPC code label number 9501401610 and model number VCR1022.

The chairs were sold at Wal-Mart stores around the country between April 2003 and April 2006. They can be returned to Wal-Mart for a full refund. For more information call (800) 925-6278 or visit www.walmartstores.com.

The computer storage drives have Lexar embossed on the front and their capacities written on the back. The Secure II drives also have their part numbers on the back. The Secure II drives are silver. The following FireFly storage drives are included in the recall: 256MB (red) capacity drives with part numbers JDFF256-431RU, JDFF256-264 or JDFF256-445RU; 512MB (lime green) capacity drives with part number JDFF512-431EM; 1GB (blue) capacity drives with part numbers JDFF1GB-431TO; and 2GB (black) capacity drives with part number JDFF2GB-431BK.
