Advertising executive moves up the ranks

Lewis Finch, co-founder and co-president of MarketSmart Advertising in Raleigh, has been promoted to president of the advertising division of MarketSmart's corporate parent.

The advertising division of Florida-based Think Partnership posted $7 million in revenue in the third quarter, about the same as a year ago. The division consists of MarketSmart Advertising and Web Diversity, an Internet marketing company based in the United Kingdom. MarketSmart Advertising has 60 employees after the recent addition of the nine remaining staffers from MarketSmart Interactive, a search-engine marketing company based in Morrisville that was absorbed by the ad agency after a series of layoffs.

"Lewis has played a critical leadership role in building the advertising agency over the past 15 years," Think Partnership's chief operating officer, Stan Antonuk, said in a prepared statement. "He is an excellent operator and his expertise in client services and enterprise account relations make him the perfect candidate to head up this division."
