Ford, which had been criticized by union leaders over the prospect of bonuses for management, said that all of its employees would receive a "modest" bonus.
Ford is rewarding its workers even though it lost $12.7 billion last year and mortgaged most of its assets.
The announcement came a week after Ford revealed in a regulatory filing that it had increased CEO Alan Mulally's stock option bonus by $1 million to $6 million.
