What you'll see: From Keigwin: the new "Water" and the ADF-commissioned premiere of "Air," from his forthcoming four elements program. Also, the premiere of an ADF-commissioned short duet titled "Mirror Image." (See story on 1D.) From Battle: the ADF-commissioned premiere of "Reel Time," a deconstruction of an Irish jig; "Promenade" (2005), a comedy of manners (at left); "Ella" (2007), a solo tribute to Ella Fitzgerald; and "Two Redux," an ADF-commissioned reinvention of the comical "Two," set to Vivaldi and Donna Summer's "Last Dance," performed by Paradigm.

Paul Taylor Dance Company, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet8 p.m. Thursday and Saturday; 7 p.m. Friday, Page AuditoriumThe lowdown: A modern dance pioneer and one of the world's most influential choreographers, Taylor blends tradition with modernity to create widely accessible works. Sometimes dark, sometimes whimsical, his dances reflect the way the world and its people move. Aspen Santa Fe Ballet has embraced Taylor's work and that of a wide range of modern dance innovators.
What you'll see: From Taylor: "Changes," a new work embracing the radical activism of the 1960s and set to songs by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, Papa John Phillips and John Hartford. Also, "3 Epitaphs," set to early New Orleans jazz music; "Promethean Fire," a Sept. 11 commemoration set to Bach. From Aspen: Twyla Tharp's "Sweet Fields" (1996), an homage to Shakers; and Tharp's 1984 duet "Sinatra Suite."
