Tonight, the art-house theater will go to the dogs -- so to speak -- as the SPCA of Wake County hosts a benefit screening at the Rialto of "My Dog Skip," the 2000 family flick, based on the memoir by the late Willie Morris, about a boy (played by a preteen Frankie Muniz) and his dog. The proceeds will go to the homeless pets at the SPCA.

When: 7:45 p.m. (food and beverage reception will be at 6:30) Where: The Rialto, 1620 Glenwood Ave. Cost: $20. Info: 772-2326, ex. 2043; www.spcawake.org.
