Details: The Triangle's largest (20,000 capacity) venue only has about half its dates on the books. More dates in August and September are coming.

"We're working on repurposing our parking areas within the facility," says general manager Emma Bennett. "Finding 25 more spaces here or 50 more there. We'll have to sharpen our pencils on that."

Details: After a down season last year, 7,000-capacity Booth is back with a strong schedule that might ultimately have almost as many concerts as Walnut Creek.

Details: The 2,700-capacity venue is keeping it conservative with just seven shows this summer, three of them music/movie combinations.
Raleigh Downtown Live (RDL)

Details: The dates are set for the third season of this free series at Raleigh's Moore Square -- every other Saturday, June through August. Headliners have been announced with lots of opening acts still to come.
