In 1933, a magazine called The State was started to help North Carolinians appreciate the state where they were born, grew up or raised their families. Today the magazine, now called Our State, is 75 years old. It still celebrates North Carolina travel, history and culture with stories about the state's people and places. As the magazine celebrates its 75th year, we'd like to hear about the role Our State has played in your life. Send your stories, in 300 words or less, to
debra.boyette@newsobserver.com. Please put Our State in the subject line. You may also send stories to N&O Features Department, Our State stories, 215 S. McDowell St. Raleigh, NC 27601 The deadline for sending stories is noon Friday.
