Treats fit for wizards

You don't need Potions class to mix up these magical sweets for a Harry Potter party as you await the concluding book

You're merely a Muggle, but that doesn't mean you can't throw a Harry Potter party that's full of magic. Start with cupcakes that look like Harry, Ron, Hermione and Voldemort. Throw in chocolate frogs, peppermint toads and cockroach clusters. Then raise frothy mugs of butterbeer to toast the arrival of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the final installment of J.K. Rowling's series, which goes on sale at midnight Friday.

While you're scarfing down the sweets, quiz one another on Harry Potter food facts, and be grateful that you haven't encountered any of the varieties of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans that our readers dreamed up.

The recipes will add up to a feast worth serving in Hogwarts Great Hall -- no wand required.
