Valentine cards for service members overseas need to be mailed by today to be sure of getting them delivered by Feb. 14, the Postal Service said.

"Cupid may have wings, but we have to rely on more conventional methods," said postal consumer advocate Delores Killette.

HAVE A SWEETIE IN MIND: The Defense Department requires that mail be addressed to individual service members.

HOW VALENTINES GET THERE: Military units are assigned an APO or FPO ZIP code and in many cases that ZIP code travels with the unit. APO/FPO mail is sent on special charter flights, commercial airlines and military service aircraft.

NOT GOING OUT TODAY? People who can't get to the post office can order cards sent by the post office via www.usps.com/cardstore.
