Come on, take a free ride.

On a bus.

That was the offer today from Davidson College's board of trustees to any Davidson student who wants to attend the Cinderella team's Sweet 16 matchup in Detroit in the NCAA basketball tournament.

After its victory over heavily favored Georgetown Sunday, Davidson is poised to play Wisconsin Friday in Detroit. The trustees' gift will pay for any student to attend Friday's game and Sunday's second round, for the 22-hour round-trip bus fare to Detroit and back, and for two nights in an area hotel.

Officials said the cost can't be estimated and will depend on the number of students who take the offer.
