JACKETS' RECALL: The Columbus Blue Jackets recalled forward Alexandre Picard and defenseman Filip Novak from Syracuse of the AHL on Sunday.

Picard had five goals and four assists in 19 games with Syracuse. He also played two games with Columbus this season.

Novak has one goal and 11 assists in 20 games with the Crunch and is among the AHL's top scoring defensemen.

WEIGHT APPLAUDED: The Blues honored Doug Weight before Saturday's game, their first in St. Louis since Weight became the 210th player to skate in 1,000 games on Nov. 16 in Edmonton. The Blues gave him a crystal plaque, an engraved silver stick and a watch.

INJURY REPORT: New Jersey's Cam Janssen returned to New Jersey for an MRI exam after suffering a separated shoulder in Friday night's loss to Anaheim. ... On Saturday, San Jose's Jonathan Cheechoo missed his fourth game with a left leg injury on Saturday.
