Want to know how your child’s school stacks up against others in North Carolina?

The latest information on everything from class sizes to teacher turnover is now available online at ncreportcards.org

The Department of Public Instruction released updated data today from the 2005-06 school year for every public and charter school in the state.

The annual report cards, initiated five years ago by Gov. Mike Easley, are one of the most comprehensive sources of information available to the public on key indicators of educational quality.

The website provides access to these kinds of details:

  • average class size

  • test performance

  • suspensions and expulsions

  • school safety

  • numbers of books and computers per student

  • teacher certification

  • teacher experience

  • Get it all with convenient home delivery of The News & Observer.
