Raleigh police searching for carjacker

Raleigh police are on the lookout for a carjacking suspect who Wednesday stole a man's car and wallet.

The suspect got into a man's car who had just finished getting gas about 2:40 p.m. at a convenience store at the corner of Millbrook Road and Atlantic Avenue in North Raleigh.

The suspect, armed with a gun, ordered the man to drive a short distance to Windy Hill Drive, where he robbed the man of his wallet and then stole his car.

The suspect fired his gun during the robbery, was no one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s,about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt with black lettering and khaki shorts that fell below his knees. He had a black nylon backpack with thin straps. The stolen vehicle is light blue 1998 Nissan Sentra four-door sedan. The car’s rear windows are tinted, and it has a hole in the windshield as a result of gun shot.
