RALEIGH -
Authorities charged a 25-year-old man Wednesday with e-mailing threats to kill everyone in a state Employment Security Commission office in Raleigh, court records show.Lashaun K. Alexander of Raleigh was charged with one count each of cyberstalking and communicating threats, according to warrants filed at the Wake County Magistrate's Office by the State Capitol Police.Police think that on Tuesday, Alexander sent the e-mail message to a general mailbox at the state Employment Security Commission on Carl Sandburg Court near WakeMed. The e-mail message threatened to injure or kill about 50 people who work there, said State Capitol Police Chief Scott Hunter.Hunter said Alexander was upset because he had been denied some unemployment benefits.Alexander remained in the Wake County jail Wednesday afternoon in lieu of $3,000 bail, court records show.
