Bogart these brownies

Bogart these brownies

December 1, 2004

A friend and I ate at Bogart's on Glenwood South in Raleigh recently. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We shared a dessert that was a Butterscotch Brownie topped with a special Caramel Sauce and ice cream. It was heavenly, rich and gooey and different from a blond brownie. Is there any way Bogart's would share its recipes for the brownie and the sauce?

A menu of all-American comfort food favorites, a dazzling array of martinis and a retro decor have kept Bogart's American Grill one of the hottest spots on trendy Glenwood South since the restaurant opened three years ago. Fitting right into that mood are Butterscotch Brownies with Caramel Sauce -- as natural a combination, you might say, as Bogey and Bacall.

Thanks to executive chef Warren Stephens for the recipes.
