Crab Cakes from Angus Barn

Crab Cakes from Angus Barn

CorrespondentApril 6, 2005

The Angus Barn is my husband's favorite restaurant. I like the steaks, too, but I really love the Crab Cakes. Could you could get the recipe?

It's easy to understand why the Crab Cakes are a favorite at this landmark North Raleigh steakhouse. They're made with lots of lump crabmeat and just enough bread crumbs to hold them together. A splash of Tabasco gives the cakes a spicy note that is amplified by an accompanying Creole Mustard Sauce.

Thanks to chef Betty Shugart, who will celebrate her 40th anniversary with the Angus Barn this year, for sharing the recipes.
