Council employees get 6 percent raises

Calling three top city employees' performance outstanding, the Durham City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to give them 6 percent raises.

The annual salary and automobile allowance of City Manager Patrick Baker will increase to $153,200. City Attorney Henry Blinder will make $167,336, and City Clerk Ann Gray will be paid $85,702.
