Two sites open for absentee voting

One-stop absentee voting for the Raleigh, Cary and Wake Board of Education elections has begun and runs through Oct. 8. Registered Wake County voters can vote at two sites before the Oct. 11 election.

Dates and times vary. The locations and hours are:

* Wake County Board of Elections Office, 337 S. Salisbury St., downtown Raleigh

Today: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Oct. 3 to 7: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Oct. 8: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

* Herbert C. Young Community Center, 101 Wilkinson Ave., Cary

Oct. 1: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Oct. 6, 7: noon to 8 p.m.
