Habitat completes Raleigh subdivision

From Staff ReportsOctober 2, 2005

Habitat for Humanity of Wake County dedicated the final eight homes in its newest Raleigh neighborhood, Rosalynn Place, on Saturday.

The subdivision is just off Rose Lane and Poole Road in Southeast Raleigh. Work on the neighborhood began in 2003 when 24 local custom homebuilders raised 24 homes in five days during a "Builders Blitz."

The 42-home neighborhood is named for former first lady Rosalynn Carter. Carter and her husband, former President Carter, have been Habitat supporters since 1984.
