Rosa Parks tribute planned for Nov. 3

A memorial tribute to Rosa Parks, who died Monday, will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 3 at Chavis Community Center at 505 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

The event will begin with a slate of speakers at the community center. It will continue with a mile-long march to the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Gardens and a candlelight vigil. The gardens are at the corner of Rock Quarry Road and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
