Two charged in counterfeit scheme

From Staff ReportsFebruary 8, 2006

Police think two men tried to use a digital printer to counterfeit money.

Marcelo Concepcion, 18, and Omar Gallegos Palma, 24, both of 5828 Holland Farms Way, were arrested Tuesday and charged with making $1,380 worth of fake money.

The men scanned real money, then printed out the counterfeit bills, according to arrest warrants.

Each man was being held at the Wake County jail Tuesday in lieu of a $100,000 bail.
