Today is deadline for Hall of Fame

Nominations for induction into the Raleigh Hall of Fame are due today.

The nomination forms are available at Wake County libraries, the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, the Avery C. Upchurch Municipal Complex at 222 W. Hargett St., Quail Ridge Books and at www.raleighhalloffame.org.

The 2006 induction ceremony will be held Sept. 21 at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts.

The inaugural induction was held in September. Inductees were R. Beverly Raney and Mollie Huston Lee, The Woman's Club of Raleigh, Everett Case, John P. "Top" Greene, Marjorie Boyd Debnam, Betty Ann Knudsen, William Finlator, James "Willie" York, Ralph Campbell Sr. and June Campbell, Josephus Daniels, A.J. Fletcher and Dr. Annie Louise Wilkerson.

The Centennial Hall of Fame will be considering nominations for the years 1842 to 1892.
