Two chefs, two recipes, too good

March 1, 2006

I enjoyed the Pan-Roasted Root Vegetables at Porter's City Tavern. DEE-licious. I never thought root veggies could be so tasty. Could you get the recipe, because this time of year it is hard to cook fresh vegetables.

Chef Jeremy Sabo goes the extra mile, not only sharing the recipe but also scaling it to home kitchen portions even as he prepares to leave Porter's.

Sabo's fans needn't worry because he isn't going far. Kevin and Stacey Jennings, who own Porter's and Frazier's, have tapped the talented chef to open Vivace, their new restaurant in North Hills.

Replacing Sabo at Porter's is chef David Mitchell, formerly of Glenwood Grill. Chef Mitchell also kindly shares one of his recipes, for Caramelized Onion Grits.
