Singers to perform benefit concert

From Staff ReportsMarch 23, 2006

Divisi, an a cappella ensemble from Oregon, will perform in a benefit concert Saturday at Eno River Unitarian Fellowship to raise money for musician and spiritual teacher Mark Malachi.

Malachi, of the Unity Center for Peace in Chapel Hill, suffered a massive heart attack in February and is recuperating in a rehabilitation center. It is estimated that his out-of-pocket expenses will exceed $100,000.

The 7:30 p.m. benefit concert will be preceded by a 6:30 p.m. silent auction. A minimum donation of $10 is suggested for the concert. For more information, contact Mariposa Linden at 960-5092 or
