The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold an informational workshop on the American Tobacco Trail Project from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Central Carolina Community College's Multipurpose Room (Building 2) in Pittsboro. DOT staff will answer questions and accept written comments on the project.
The DOT has proposed developing a multi-use, 4.76-mile trail along the former American Tobacco railway corridor. Residents wanting more information should contact the N.C. Division of Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation at 715-2342, or send e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
