Parade marks firefighters memorial

WHAT: The N.C. Fallen Firefighters Memorial parade and dedication

WHERE: Downtown Raleigh. Parade route follows Hillsborough Street from St. Mary's Street east to Dawson Street, then south on Dawson to the memorial at Nash Square.

WHEN: Parade begins at 9 a.m. The memorial will be dedicated at 2 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. and a candlelight vigil at 7 p.m. The parade route will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to noon, and parking will be restricted around Nash Square all day.
