Drug suspect is jailed again

— Deputies from the Chatham County Sheriff's Narcotics Division, Interstate Criminal Enforcement Team and canine units charged a Pittsboro man with drug violations after an undercover operation Friday.

Deputies arrested Guy Grady Sanders Jr., 24, of 29 Bednar Lane after seizing 105 tablets of Oxycontin, according to a Sheriff's Office release.

Sanders had been arrested April 27 with 285 pills and 31 grams of marijuana during a traffic stop. He was released on a $50,000 secured bond. The operation Friday resulted in the seizure of $474 in cash and drug paraphernalia.

Sanders was charged with trafficking, possession with intent to sell and deliver narcotics, maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances, sale and delivery of narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was jailed in lieu of $150,000 bail, and is scheduled to appear June 21 in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro.
