Walnut Terrace reunion July 15

June 27, 2006

— In 2004, the first "party in the projects" drew 4,000 to the Walnut Terrace public housing complex in South Raleigh. And thousands flocked to last year's get-together.

A third reunion for current and former residents of Walnut Terrace and the surrounding 4th Ward community is planned for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 15 at the Walnut Terrace Center, 111 W. Lee St.

The alcohol-free event promises food, games, music and a health fair.
