Director selected for N.C. Hillel

— Joshua Blumenthal has been named executive director of N.C. Hillel, a student organization that strives to create an environment in which Jewish life will thrive and enrich the experience of the students, staff and faculty at UNC-Chapel Hill and other campuses throughout the state.

Blumenthal comes to Chapel Hill from Hillel's Charles and Lynn Schusterman International Center's New York office where he was the associate director for campus advancement, supporting Hillels in New York City and state.

Blumenthal received degrees at Brandeis University and the University of Massachusetts. While at Massachusetts, he worked as assistant to the deputy chancellor.
