Shotgun blast hits man at hot dog stand

— A man was hit by a shotgun blast Monday outside a hot dog stand.

About 3 p.m., several men in a green pickup truck drove to The Dog House, 2009 Guess Road, to order food, according to a Durham police news release. Two men got out of the truck to order food. Another man confronted the men with a shotgun and fired a blast that hit the victim in the shoulder, according to the news release. The shooter got into the pickup and drove away.

The victim was transported for medical treatment, but a police spokesman declined to name the hospital at which he was being treated. No one else was injured.
