Teen theft suspect picked up in Seattle

— A teenager suspected of stealing money from a restaurant more than three months ago was picked up in Seattle and has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

According to police reports, Andrew Lee Ryan, 17, of Holly Springs, walked up to the cash register at Jumbo China at 1518 Broad St. on Aug. 12, pointed a revolver at the cashier and demanded money. The cashier gave him about $1,000, and Ryan fled.

An arrest warrant was issued for Ryan on Sept. 21. He was picked up after investigators found out he was staying in Seattle. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
