Two arrested after attempted robbery

— Police have arrested two people in an attempted robbery on Christmas Day.

David Turner, 25, of 2202 Sovereign St. was charged Monday with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon. Kimberly Dawn Champion, 26, of 130-I Park St., Roxboro, was charged with aiding and abetting an armed robbery.

Both are accused of using a wooden club in an attempt to take $10,054 from a man, according to warrants. They are being held in the Durham County jail in lieu of $35,000 bail each.
