Ways to give

February 7, 2007

  • With every dollar donated, Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is able to distribute $8 worth of food.

We have two convenient options:

1. Donate online. The Food Bank will use your donation to help hungry people. To donate money, click here.
2. Send a check to Feed the Need. Look for the donation forms in The N&O and its network of community papers or click here for a printable form.

Here is how donations can be used to support the Food Bank's "Kids Meals and More" programs:

• KIDS CAFE: $250 will provide an entire school year's worth of after-school meals, academic help and nutrition education to one child. A $100 donation will provide 75 Kids Cafe meals.
• WEEKEND POWERPACK: $200 will fill a backpack with nutritious food every weekend during the school year. A $50 donation will fill a backpack every weekend for three months.
• KIDS SUMMER MEALS: $250 will provide breakfast and lunch, including fresh fruit, for a child for the summer. An $80 donation will provide a week's worth of meals for four children.

Gifts of any amount are appreciated. To find out more about the Food Bank, click here.
