Helping to Feed the Need is easy...and fun!

How to help: Sign up to sell special $1 editions of The N&O at local Bojangles' on Saturday, April 16. Every paper sold yields a donation of 75 cents to the Food Bank. If you sold 100 papers, that would be $75 to the Food Bank. For every $1 the Food Bank gets, it can deliver $8 worth of food to people in need.

Hours: Volunteers work in twos and threes, for one three-hour shift from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at local Bojangles'.

What else: N&O staff members will bring Feed the Need papers to your sales location, assist during your shift, and then accept the money you've collected, plus any unsold papers, when your shift is over. If you are under 18 years old, you also need your parent or guardian to OK your participation. A parental consent form will be available for printing when you register.

What do you get: A special Feed the Need volunteer apron, a 2011 Feed the Need T-shirt plus the chance to have fun and make a difference in our community.
