Italian delights from Daniel's

CorrespondentFebruary 21, 2007

One of our favorite restaurants in the whole Triangle area is Daniel's Pizza Pasta Cafe. We enjoyed eating there regularly when we lived in Cary. Unfortunately, we now live in Chapel Hill and don't often get the chance to eat there. I always ordered Penne alla Casa, and my husband ordered Linguine Primavera Mediterranean. Is there any chance the chef would share those recipes with us?

Daniel and Janet Perry have dropped the "Pizza Pasta Cafe" from their restaurant's name, reflecting a menu that has expanded over the years to include a wide variety of veal, seafood and other Italian specialties. Still, there's no denying that much of the reputation of Daniel's (1430 N.C. 55, Apex; 303-1006; www.danielspizzapasta.com) is built on the pizzas and pasta dishes that have made it an enduring favorite in Apex for more than a decade. Penne alla Casa and Linguine Primavera Mediterranean, whose recipes the owners generously share, are two savory examples.
