Three shot near convenience store

— Police are investigating a shooting Thursday night in the parking lot of a convenience store on Angier Avenue.

Officers responded to a call at the Buy Quick at the intersection of Angier and Briggs avenues at 7:21 p.m. When they arrived, they found three men who had been shot. They were taken to Duke Hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.

The shots were fired by someone standing behind a chain-link fence near the store. Police did not immediately have a description or a motive. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 683-1200.
