Town seeks artistic response to 'Why?'

From Staff ReportsMarch 22, 2007

— The question for the Chapel Hill Public Arts Commission's 2007 Community Art Project is "Why?" and you have three more days to answer it.

The commission invites everyone who lives, works or plays in Chapel Hill and Carrboro to create a work of art based on the theme. Any interpretation is possible. Why is the sky blue? Why can't we have peace?

Submissions must be ready to hang, no larger than 24 by 36 inches, and delivered between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Friday or Saturday to The Chapel Hill Museum, 523 E. Franklin St.

For an entry form or information, visit www.communityartproject.org, call 968-2750, or e-mail info@chapelhillarts.org.
