Two teens arrested in burglaries

— Police arrested two suspects Friday night and charged them with a string of residential burglaries in the northeast section of the city.

Marquis Daletwand Elkerson, 17, and Jaquan Maurice Wiggs, 16, were each charged with five counts of burglary, four counts of possession of stolen property and one count of resisting, delaying or obstructing a public officer. The burglaries took place between March 8 and March 30. The homes were ransacked and robbed during the day while residents were away.

The burglaries occurred at homes along Englefield Drive, Farmington Grove Drive, Lake Ridge Drive, Cardinal Grove Boulevard, Spring Pines Way, Brimfield Court and Coventry Ridge Drive.
