Summit on minority achievement set

— The Orange County Schools holds its Minority Achievement Summit from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Gravelly Hill Middle School. This spring's topic is "Home and School: Working Together to Support Your Child." Marvin Pittman, community liaison for student achievement for the North Carolina State Board of Education, will speak.

Gravelly Hill Middle School is located at 4819 West Ten Road in Efland, just off Interstate 40-85. Take exit 160, turn left off the ramp onto Mount Willing Road and right on West Ten Road, and travel 1 1/2 miles. The school is on the right.
