Volunteer sought for commission

— The town is seeking a volunteer to serve as its representative on the Orange County Economic Development Commission.

The commission meets at 5 p.m. the second Thursday of each month at the Economic Development Commission Office, 110 E. King St. Members serve three-year terms and may serve two consecutive terms. All members are appointed by the Orange County Board of Commissioners.

Applications may be submitted online at the town of Hillsborough's Web site, www.ci.hillsborough.nc.us, or pick up an application in the town clerk's office, located on the Town Hall campus at 101 E. Orange St. Completed applications will stay on file for future vacancies.
