Apex neighborhood warned about rabies

From Staff ReportsJune 7, 2007

— People living in the vicinity of the Segdemoor subdivision off Ten-Ten Road should be on a rabies alert, Wake County officials said Wednesday.

A dog sparked the warning by killing a rabid raccoon in the neighborhood Tuesday, according to the county community health office.

Gibbie Harris, the office's director, said that anyone who has been scratched or bitten by a strange animal in the area should call the Wake County Community Health Clinic at 250-4462.
