June 20, 2007

— Malcom Hubbard, 29, was released Tuesday from Duke Hospital after having been shot twice in the torso, and was taken to the county jail.

He had outstanding warrants for possession of a stolen vehicle, speeding to elude arrest, and driving while his license was revoked, police said. Hubbard also faces charges from 2006 for failure to appear and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, police said.

He was shot about 11 a.m. Sunday at the Bentwood Apartments, 322 Junction Road. No charges have been filed in the shooting.
