Fund set up for baby with rare disorder

— A trust fund to assist the family of Ethan Benoit has been set up at a credit union in Zebulon. Ethan, 7 months old, is diagnosed with metatropic dysplasia, a rare disorder of his spine and limbs that affects his bodily functions. The severe form of the disorder Ethan suffers is fatal.

The family is in dire financial straits as it prepares to bring Ethan home from his latest two-month stay in the hospital.
