Motorcyclist killed in wreck with car

— A Chapel Hill woman died Wednesday afternoon when her motorcycle collided with a car on N.C. 54 in Durham.

Giuseppina Maria Finazzo, 22, was going east on N.C. 54 at about 3 p.m. when she lost control of her motorcycle, Durham police said in a news release.

She crossed the center line and hit a westbound 2005 Honda Accord head-on. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jasmine Schwartz, 37, of Durham was driving the Accord. She was not injured.

The wreck near Parkridge Road slowed traffic on N.C. 54 for more than two hours.

No one has been charged in the crash.
