Buddhist center to hold fair

September 25, 2007

— The "East Meets West Fall Extravaganza" will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Kadampa Center at 5412 Etta Burke Court in Raleigh.

More than 40 vendors will offer merchandise including pottery, natural soaps, candles and jewelry. The event will include activities for children and live music.

There is no admission fee. Funds raised from vendors and sales of certain items at the fair will help Kadampa Center renovate a recently purchased building.

Kadampa Center, founded in 1992, is a center for the practice of Tibetan Buddhism. For more information, visit www.kadampa-center.org.
