Store's window smashed; deer dies

From Staff ReportsOctober 9, 2007

— A deer crashed through a window and entered a Carrboro sewing shop Saturday, according to police.

According to a police report, the full-size male deer crashed through the front window of Thimble Pleasures at 205 W. Main St., causing $1,000 in damage. The deer then walked out the window, but it was injured, judging by the blood and hair found in the shop.

While police were still at the shop, an officer received information that the injured deer had been located and had died on a front porch on the 100 block of Laurel Avenue.
